The X-Ray Tetra is an unusual tetra that has a nearly transparent body. The dorsal and anal fins have bands of yellow, black, and white. The caudal fin is pale red or pink in coloration. It offers an unexpected surprise to this almost transparent fish.
X-Ray Tetras have a natural tolerance to a wide range of water parameters, which makes it suitable for any community aquarium. It is very peaceful and compatible with other non-aggressive fish. The aquarium should include rocks, plants, and driftwood to mimic the X-Ray Tetra’s natural habitat. They are best kept in groups of six or more since they are schooling fish.
The X-Ray Tetra will accept small foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, micro pellet food, and flake food.
