Wisteria, also known as Water Wisteria, is a very undemanding freshwater aquarium plant. It has lace-like leaves that can vary depending on the conditions it is in. The leaves are smaller in cold water, and insufficient lighting causes the leaves to look different.
A nutrient-rich substrate is required with the regular addition of iron-rich fertilizers. At least 2 watts per gallon of full spectrum lighting (5000-7000K) is required for proper growth. CO2 fertilization is also recommended. Plant cuttings can be removed from a healthy mature plant for propagation.
