The Frogspawn Coral is a large polyp stony (LPS) that is often called the Wall, Octopus, Grape, or Honey Coral. Its coloration is green or brown to tan. The polyps stay visible throughout both the day and night often resembling a mass of fish or frog eggs.
In the evening the sweeper tentacle can extended up to six inches beyond the base. The Frogspawn Coral will sting neighboring corals in the aquarium, so it is best to leave plenty of room between it and other types of corals. The coral is moderately difficult to maintain but will thrive under the proper conditions. The coral will need moderate to heavy lighting combined with moderate waterflow. For continued good health, the Frogspawn Coral will require additional trace elements and supplements.
