The Fire Shrimp is also know as Blood Red Fire Shrimp, Blood Shrimp, and Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp. This shrimp is a deep red body with white spots and long white antennae. Depending on where the shrimp originates from, it may just have the white dots on its carapace or covering the whole body.
Fire Shrimp are non-aggressive towards other tank mates unless they come in their territory. The shrimp will set up a cleaning station and remove dead tissue and parasites from fish that present themselves.
The Fire Shrimp’s diet should consist of brine shrimp, mysis, squid, zooplankton, and phytoplankton. They can be hand fed directly with frozen meaty bits and vegetable flakes.
