The Falco Hawkfish, sometimes referred to as the Spotted Hawkfish, is white with red-brown spots that run diagonally along the body. Small tufts of bright yellow are located on the tips of their dorsal fin ray called cirri.
This hardy and aggressive Falco Hawkfish needs an aquarium with plenty of hiding places. It should not be kept in the same aquarium with larger more aggressive hawkfish. It can make an excellent reef inhabitant, with caution, as it will eat small fish and shrimp.
The diet of the Flaco Hawkfish should include a variety of marine meats, frozen preparations, and live feeder shrimp.
