The Albino Bristlenose Pleco is almost identical to the Bristlenose Pleco, with only the coloration being the obvious difference. It is also known as the Albino Gold Bushy Nose Pleco and the Yellow-Ancistrus. Unlike other albino fish, the pleco has more of a yellow to golden color with long flowing fins. The mouth and nose is covered in short, whisker-like appendages that are used for detecting food.
A healthy environment for the Albino Bristlenose Pleco has hearty, fast growing plants, high aeration, and water movement. Rocks and driftwood help create a natural environment and provide hiding places to reduce stress.
The Albino Bristlenose Pleco is not a picky eater and will not be difficult to feed. It gets most of its food from cleaning algae and food off the bottom of the aquarium. If there is not any algae or leftover food they should be supplemented with flake food, sinking carnivore pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms, and tubifex.
